Glutton For Punishment

Why, as parents, do we feel the need to encourage our little ones to become mobile? Why do we cheer them on with tummy time, laying them down, moving things away so that they have to move towards them?

Why?

Sam is now crawling and at a very amazing pace. Nothing is safe. Nothing.

He has not been crawling for a total of 36 hours and already the TV has been unplugged twice, a bowl of cereal flipped over, the guitar for the Wii almost knocked over, and I think Tango is missing about half his whiskers.

If you don't hear from me after a few days, the boys probably have me tied up and are holding me hostage. Tango will be of no help because they are his access to people food.

I'm doomed.

Why? Cuz. We. Are. Stupid. HAHAHAHAHA

"Oh that is so cute" WHAT? Umm no its not. Immobile, staring at the ceiling, unable to do more than kick ones feet.. now THAT was cute... The rest is just down hill LOL

Bright side... He will be walking and talking soon!! Wait.. thats not so much a bright side for the most part is it LOL

OK so we do live through this stage and best part is for the most part they are made of rubber so unless there are knives or electricity involved you should all survive lol.

Hang in there!

Oh I've already decided that crawling and walking will not be encouraged. No way am I looking forward to chasing two little ones around (or in the dogs case, being chased by two little ones).

I am so glad my kids are older now. As much fun as they were as little ones, I am so happy they are kind of self sufficient now, and I don't have to have my eyes on them every second of every day.

Have fun :)

LOL...I hear you there..I remember when I couldn't wait to hear the word 'MOMMY'...Oh man after my second one arrived and was old enough to annoy his brother.."MOMMY" was the most dreaded word in my day.

Yes we do rush and create our own little monsters don't we? :)

Hahaha! I've got a couple of Tasmanian Devils whirling around here myself. It sure was nice when they stayed put...but they cried a lot more back then. For me, their path of destruction has meant trading up.
