I Hate Potty Training
I had no idea trying to get him out of diapers would be so difficult!
I'm tired of reading articles, websites, books, etc. We've tried all the tricks. We've tried bribery. We have tried everything.
He'll do real good and then boom, he'll look me in the eye and pee on the floor or poop in his underwear. He knows it's wrong because he says 'Sorry' right afterwards. He doesn't like being in icky underwear.
But still.
I know it takes time. But I had better luck house breaking our puppy we had.
I am way too frustrated right now with this whole freakin' process.

Bummer. I'm sorry. My girls were easy, but I hear boys are harder.
Yeah, they say boys are tougher. I think not having the hubby consistently plays into it. I know single moms potty train their boys with no problems (I assume) so I know it can be done. I just think it makes it a bit more difficult for us.
And that's not even factoring in how stubborn the boy can be.
how old is your boy? i am undergoing the same thing. my boy is 22 months old now. he didnt want to wear his diapers today but after 5 times of changing, i put him back on his diapers. i think he will be ready in a couple of weeks or maybe a few months more.
My son is 2 and we are just starting all of this. Hang in there and I will ride the wave with ya'! :-)
He is just a bit older than 2 1/2 and it's the third time we've tried potty training. It has been more successful than the previous two times which makes it all the more frustrating when he quits even trying.
My son is now 24 months. I got him out of diapers during the day at 22 months but it was only 3 weeks ago that he got used to making poop in the potty. Lots of hugs and lots of explaining (i felt like a nagger repeating all the explanation each time tsk tsk) and lots of candies and stickers to bribe him made the process "easier". goodluck!
